I’ve got some news for you if you’re not already aware of that (I would be surprized if you are actually): the first bridge collapse in France this year (well not really in France because Andorra is a principality) and most likely the first in decades. What’s interesting I think, about this particular event is that it’s about a bridge under construction which implies that recently built bridges could collapsed too and not only old ones. They will simply put the blame on the low-paid and exploited workers or engineering mistakes, « workers and engineers are no longer as qualified as they once were you know and if the workers were more respected and better paid they would do a better job, blah-blah, etc». Moranic particles!

« An Andorran government spokesman says a bridge under construction collapsed, trapping seven workers, two of whom are likely dead. Four others are in serious condition in the hospital.
The spokesman told The Associated Press that a steel and concrete viaduct collapsed on the men Saturday. The bridge project leads from a tunnel linking two valleys near the town of Massana in the tiny principality straddling the Spanish and French border.
The spokesman spoke on condition of anonymity in keeping with government rules.
Rescue workers were at the scene trying to free the trapped men. »
